Lazy Dayz in Thailand

We arrived safely in Surat Thani very early Thursday morning and made our way to our lodge in the rainforest in Khao Sok National Park, the scenery is very similar to Guilin, China where there are scattered rockcliffs amongst trees etc - needless to say it's very pretty.

That afternoon we all went tubing down the river over some small rapids and also a few of us decided to use the rope swing and jump into the river which was fun but I ripped part of my fingernail off so I was in a little bit of pain but coz I'm tough I didn't let it show! lol

On Friday we got up at silly o'clock in the morning to drive out to a freshwater lake in the NP and we took a longtail boat over to some rafthouses in the middle of nowhere.  Unfortunately because of the recent tragedy that occured last week where a few people drowned in a cave they had closed 7 of Thailand's NP's so it was touch and go whether we would even be able to go there.  Luckily our tour guide managed to work his magic and we didn't even have to pay an entrance fee either!  So whilst we were there we swam in the river, ate some good grub and did some kayaking.  Also I managed to top up my tan even though it was overcast - I look browner than everyone else on this tour - yippee!

We left the lodgings this morning and now we're in Ao Nang, Krabi - unfortunately it's a little overcast but that won't stop me from soaking up the rays.  Today we're just mooching around town and we may even get a massage for next to nothing.  Tomorrow we're heading out on a speedboat to six islands including Phi Phi Island and we'll be doing some snorkelling too - see the little fishes swimming about.

Then on Monday Sara and I have decided to go horseriding on the beach which is something I've always wanted to do - it's just a shame I haven't met a 'special friend' to do it with coz it's kind of sounds romantic....sorry sis! ha ha  If I'm feeling energetic I may even do some rock climbing too but we'll see about that.
